Ashland Application
Steps 1 - 3 should be completed BEFORE the priority registration deadline of TBA
1. Apply to your local Career Center
If your current high school is ASHLAND, HILLSDALE, LOUDONVILLE-PERRYSVILLE, MAPLETON, or WEST HOLMES please apply through Ashland County-West Homes Career Center at www.acwhcc.org/apply
Step 1. Under heading “HIGH SCHOOL” click box “Apply Now”
Step 2. Complete all sections.
2. Apply to North Central State College
NC State has an online application. Go to www.ncstatecollege.edu/apply
Step 1. Create an Account or log into your existing account below, using your PERSONAL (NOT your high school) email account. Your application type is “College-NOW Admissions.”
Step 2. Once logged into your account, scroll to the bottom of the My Account page (under Next Steps) and click "2. Start an Application".
Step 3. Choose the appropriate application type “College-NOW Application”, then complete, sign, and submit.
3. Complete COUNSELOR Form
Complete the UPDATED!! Counselor form, complete the top portion, and turn in the form to your school counselor.

Steps 4 - 5 should be completed in February/ March
4. Complete Placement Testing
Option #1 Submit ACT scores (if already completed)
Option #2 Take the Accuplacer placement test (first test is FREE) at NC State. Schedule with Student Success and Transition Center at 419-755-4536.
Option #3 Take the ACT
5. College credit plus (CCP) meeting
Check with your school counselor to make sure you have completed their CCP requirements.
