Founded in 1925, Mesa State College is a comprehensive, liberal arts college offering programs at the master, baccalaureate, associate degree, and certificate levels. We provide the tools to make the most of your educational experience.

The Mesa State School of Applied Technology is commonly referred to as UTEC. Regardless of the term used to identify us, students who enroll here are attending Mesa State and will earn certificates and degrees from Mesa State.

We provide a place to further your employability skills and you have our personal commitment that we will do our utmost to make your interaction with us a positive and productive experience. Whether you are interested in an associate degree in applied science, customized industry training, or a change in your career options, we are here to serve you.

Our faculty members are licensed experts in their chosen field and have substantial formal education and training in combination with the finest facilities and equipment available. Each of our programs has a current business advisory group that keeps all aspects of instruction current and relevant to today's employment needs. Internship and work-study options are available in every area of study along with full-time work coordination staff to help you find employment both during and after your time with us.

We offer a program for high school students that enrolls them in regular college courses but does not provide the possibility of receiving an Associates Degree by the time high school is completed. We are exploring the College-NOW program as a possibility for expansion of this existing program and providing additional opportunities for members of the communities we serve.
