BGSU
Firelands is one of the seven colleges that make up
Bowling Green State University. The Firelands campus
is located in Huron, Ohio about 50 miles east of the
main campus in Bowling Green, Ohio. The campus provides
16 Associate Degree programs, certificate programs,
and the first two years of academic curricula for
transfer to the main campus. Students can begin one
of the more than 200 BGSU undergraduate majors and
programs at BGSU Firelands. It is the mission of BGSU
Firelands to provide academic programs, workshops,
seminars and conferences that meet the 21st century
educational needs of students, business and industry
in Erie and Huron counties
BGSU Firelands awards the following associate degrees: associate of arts, associate of science, associate of applied business in administrative office systems, associate of applied business in business management technology, associate of applied business in computer science technology, associate of applied business in visual media technology, associate of applied science in criminal justice, associate of applied science in electrical/electronic engineering technology, associate of applied sciences in health information technology, associate of applied science in human services, associate of applied science in radiologic technology, associate of applied science in respiratory care technology, associate of applied science in world class manufacturing, associate of technical study and associate of technical study in emergency medical technician--paramedic.
BGSU Firelands is involved in the College-NOW program because of the opportunity this program may provide for high school students that are prepared to enter college early. There is a need to explore this program and determine the feasibility for replication in our service area.
